the E's replaced the S's - redesigned built a little better and i believe a little more lift too, I looked into that awhile ago because they did the transition right as i was bagging my truck... I have RE6's and RE7's on my truck. You shouldn't have any problems with them for lift on a civic, i wouldn't imagine.

not sure about a civic but my tbird gets about 11" of travel with re6's on all 4 corners

that sounds like some good lift, so it all comes down to proper placement and angles, correct?
