ok, so i just bought my new 350z saturday, and the ciggaret lighter is in the back behind the seat, so i dont want wires running everywhere so im gonna hardwire it, so what do i tap into?, and will that affect the reception?

i'm not sure what all wires there are, but you can tap the power into any key on source and ground it anywhere as long as its a good ground.

as for reception..i dont know.. i have 2 friends with sirus.. one has it wired with the provided fm module and its clear as hell.. another guy, fm module was fuzzy, cassette adapater is clear as hell..

so i dont know about the reception.

i got the fm reciever one....where u plug it into the lighter....then run the antenna on ur roof or wherever n then it picks up the station you had it on....my xm was clear....but xm sucks...so i got sirius n now its fuzzy....but its cleaner lookin hardwired anyway o i wanna do that...just dont know how, its not sirius ready cuz its factory bose headunit, im pretty confident they dont come with any outputs in the back either

the siruis i have plugs into my extra 12v socket and i ran the wire to the rear near the back window. it is fuzzy though.

go to there web site and that sell a thing that plugs in to the ant. of you deck and it make it clear as hell

i got the sirius plug and play one, hardwired the receiver and put it in my console and the antenna sits on my dash. it works great. i have the fm modulated one that tunes to 88.1
I usually listen to it in my garage or in the house, and its still clear, i just park the truck in the driveway and its pretty clear inside

junk the fm modulator and get an adapter fo rthe aux output on your radio, thats what i did and its crystal clear!!!! with the fm modulator i was constantly having to change stations to get good reception in diferent places
