grenade shifter?

i seen two different guys on this site have inert grenades as their shift knobs. my question to those guys is, how exactly did you make it into a shift knob? did you drill a hole in the grenade or what? thx guys.

On mine there was a hole cast into the bottom. I bored the hole out and welded in a rounded off 3/8" fine nut. Its cast steel so its weldable.

^ just preheat so it dont break, you can also tap the hole as well unless it too big or the material is too thin.

The hole cast in mine was not round, and it was pretty big already. Mine is supposedly from Vietnam.

just be careful, that would be worse than dragging thru the gas tank, lol
