98 accord door panels

has anyone ever peeled the factory vinyl off the door panels and just painted the factory door mold?if so,how hard is it?any help would be appreciated.

your gunna have to use plastic weld and fill all the little holes in it, then sand smooth and shoot a good 3 or 4 nice coats of primer on it.
