Thanks guys. Once all the real detials like modifying window crank mechanisms and such get here youll really have to watch.


I did manage to get the drivers side rocker and b pillar in over the break. If my metal supply store has a big enough piece of cold rolled ill try to get the 1 piece roofskin cut and formed.

Not alot of noticable progress, but progress. Ive been working on rust repair and inner rocker structures and figured this is a good way of showing how im taking apart this truck and putting it back together.

First we have the nasty 37 year old metal

I find the spotwelds and drill them out

Cut out the rust and clean the metal

Heres how im welding the 2 skins together. I drilled holes in the outer rocker so i can plug weld the 2 together.

And lastly weld in the new piece

Again not much to look at but it gets me one step closer to cutting the old floor out and finally setting this thing on the table.
