Good day all. I have a lowered (5/7) 97’ GMC DRW that Im installing a set of 22x8.25 rims. My issue is clearance on the fender. I know I can purchase wider fenders but would rather get a narrower rear end to keep my stock fenders. I have been searching through skynet all night and just have no info coming up. What narrower rear end can I use? And what all does it entail to do? I have heard suburban rear end.. and Cummins read end.

Typical swap is to a single wheel rear end out of a 3/4 ton or a DRW out of a 1-ton cab & chassis (C&C). The C&C housing is typically too narrow so the wheels are tucked farther in & crowd the frame rail. Your best bet is narrowing the existing housing so you can put things right where they need to be.

I would contact Todd @ http://lowboymotorsports.com/ for your slammed OBS needs.
