Sounds like a switchbox/valve wiring problem. What type of switches?

i also just had a thought, (if you have a 10 switchbox) could you either be getting the front and seesaw switches mixed up, or it came wired wrong (known to happen before). Front dumping/rear lifting sounds like the seesaw switch.
