shaving sides mirrors?

ok i notice that theres a little sleeze inside the hole when u take off ur side mirrors. i have the door mounted mirrors, any ways i wanna how 2 just shave them?? weld or fiberglass?? i dunno. does any one know how 2 ?? its 2 little holes there.
