What do you guys think of this idea for my civic

Everybody seems to be shaving the trunk smooth and making the plate box cockeyed on the trunk, I am thinking of just removing everything except the stock plate area,so my question is would it be gay, or different, to keep the stock box. I just dont want to do the norm.
