TOWING BAGGED TRUCK

I know this has been a post before but I can't find any of the old threads. I need to trailer my truck from NY to Delaware, I have a trailer and all, but I heard you can bust ball joints and f##k shit up if you dont do it right. I also heard about puttin sand bags under the frame?? anybody who trailers or has trailered a bagged truck please help me out. thanks
