????? about models

im startin to get into the whole model scene, i was wonderin whut models u use, and how u do it... another thing i saw a model with 'mini hydros' or sumthin, it even had a lil wire comin out(for the switchbox i assume) and it was FBSS and 3 wheel, i was wonderin where u get those, and how u hook em up and stuff. any info would be appreciated....
