b2200 vs b2600i gauge cluster????

how come the mazda b2200 redline stops at 8k.but the b2600i redline stops at 7k.i was just curious??? because the b2600i has a bigger bore and stroke than the cylinder heads are bigger.so it has a higher compresssion ratio.i'm just taking a guess on this.
