Hey im bagging a s10 and i have two questions one, when i build my front cups i was going to make them 5'' in o.d 1.5'' tall does this sound ok. Second im going to make my own carrier bearing cross member but i dont know what size metal to use or what size square tubing to make it

The height of your upper cups sounds ok, but you're the fabricator, it's your job to make sure that they'll work. As for the cross member, you can use 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x .120 square or larger with little to no issues.
