1989 190e benz.....what should i look for???????

ok im going to look at this benz its a 89 with 230***miles and the tranny went out the guy said and i no where i can get another tranny for it but what should i look for and listen for when the motor is running???? thanks for the help

24 for veiws and not 1 outta the 24 people doesnt no a thing about a benz??????   also about how many miles are there motors good upto?

bump     the body is in good shape but it needs a tranny is it worth 600 or should i offer less

does anyone on here no anything about these cars as far as the trannys and engines???  i thought about putting a chevy engine in it but idk how hard it would to to switch it over so id rather just stick to the stock stuff on this one
