s-10 tranny and drive shaft experts help year 94-01

On an 01 s-10 2.2 motor with a 5 speed tranny will it line up with a 94 or 95, s-10 drive shaft? Both are standard cabs. The 94 or 95 has a 2.2 motor and a 5 speed in it now. I am just looking to upgrade the motor and the tranny. Thank you any help will be appreciated.

It most likely would. Your best bet to be sure would be to call one of your local wrecking yards and have them check their interchange manual for you. The yards arround here use a manual called the Holander which is a great resourse for interchange info. You could also call your local GM dealership and have them check the part numbers for the different years and see if they are the same. I'm not an S10 expert but either way should net you the answer. Post it up when you find out, I'm rather curious myself now.

The transmissions are slightly different between those years. I would def check with a trans shop or something first.
