on my truck i have a inner rollcage support --- from firewall to floor then from floor to back cab wall and then it connects both support on the back cab wall --- its all bolt on - so it can be removed for paint --- you do not want your body flexing --- view pics in profile ---

I had the top off my Mazda for years with no support. (Ratical top)It never showed any signs of problems. But it leaked ...a lot. Now its been capped with sheet metal and has a 1" square tube frame around the rear. I think Tim's ^^^idea is a good one tho'. In the back of my mind I always think that in an accident my Mazda would fold up like an accordian.

ya, i used to have an s-10 with a 400hp small block in it with no support. the body didnt show any signs after about a year of daily driving but i felt like it could fold up very easily also. i call it the suicide ride, a slammed and shaved s10 with a windshield and two seats...i miss it

Mine is also a roadster mini,But it has been reinforced with a steel bed cover and has been body dropped 4 inches.so basically the body is stronger by being lower on the frame! my a pillers are capped off with steel plates with a rod down the middle for support.
