When passing out show flyers...

I doubt the people that do it will read this, but would it be possible to drop those fliers onto the floor rather than onto the seat if you must pass them out? To be considerate of the owner of the truck for one. But the reason I am bringing this up, is that at the show this last weekend, someone threw a flier down onto my seat. This flier on one side, was mostly black ink on a white laminate paper, this side was face down. Now my truck was out in the sun and it was pretty hot that day. So now my newly upholstered seat has three long black strips of ink on the pleats. It wouldn't have happened if they were left on the floor, where they would also be a little more out of site. Now, it probably wouldn't have bothered me much if the ink came off, but it simply won't. So thanks, whoever dropped that off.

sorry to hear about ya seat man.. and they seem to have a bad habit of doing that or sticking them in your wipers at a show, maybe it should be if noone is there to take them just come back later because i really dont see anyone taking a mailbox with them to a show

I don't really want to mention who is throwing the show.

I'd rather have them under my wipers than on my seat. But I'm just saying, if you feel the need to leave fliers, I would like to see them on the floorboard towards the front. Like under the pedals. The owner will notice them, but it will keep them out of plain sight. And it would keep from glueing the fliers to vinyl.

seen em stick to windshields also and basically leave the whole flyer graphic on the windshield

That could be scraped with a razor blade. But I could see how that would be annoying. I'm just upset because I cannot remove the stain with any of the cleaners I have. I've tried several things over the past few days and it seems as if its permanent.

That sucks! I never would have thought of fliers doing that but now that's good to know! I don't use fliers but whenever I see them laying in peoples seats I usually help myself and throw them away!

I don't like taking pictures of "trashy" interiors because of the all fliers and I'm sure the owner isn't going to miss them anyways! I think it's rude to leave fliers on people's rides, if you want to get the word out buy a vendor spot! Sorry to hear about your seats!

I'm just trying to bring it to the attention of the people doing it. Make them discreet or don't leave them around. I just hope people read this, and think about it at the next show. Maybe it will save someone else's seat. Upholstery isn't cheap.

Take it from someone who hands out flyers a LOT. I never leave them in the rides. I hand them out personally to everyone i see, and i drop them off at the vendor booths. Most of the vendors have no problem taking some and throwing them out for people to grab. Ive always just had this issue with sticking something inside a vehicle that didnt belong to me.

Seth what type of material is the stain on? I know some tricks with tweed and similar fabrics.

I agree. I will not touch someone elses ride whatsoever.

My seat is vinyl. I tried goof off. I tried a shoe cleaner, and I tried a specialty vinyl cleaner I got at an interior shop that was like $15... It made it shine.
