has anyone ever tried or heard of using hockey pucks for body mounts? thats what the guy at the parts store actually suggested I try instead of spending the ridiculous amount they want for factory parts.

thats not really that safe bec hockey pucks will crack and eventually fall apart, ive heard of people doing it and its really not that safe

thats what I was thinking as well, but wouldn't the stock ones eventually fall apart just the same?

stock ones would last longer eventhough they crack they are not as stiff and are less brittle than a hockey puck.....i dont see y the poly bushings wouldnt work bec they treated to deal with the stress amounts guess u would just have to find the right size....just my :.02:

I know the 4x4 guys around here use pucks for a cheap body lift, but they dont last long.

if you look back in minitruck where they channeled the cab they used poly bushings for body mounts and i think they have the same kinda mounts on the frame that aaron built for there toy project
