contitech bags on my 86 s15

i am getting ready to bag my s-15 and i need to build my cups for the front. my question is what is what is the proper diameter and how tall should they be. my bags are contitech 2600. and how much do i need to cut out of the upper spring cup?

don't know about the diameter, but as far as cutting, I just held the bag where it'll be and cut, and then test fitted it and cut some more, until it had clearance all around

you just cut the outer part right??

hey whats up, you will have to cut the outer part and the inner lips of the spring pockets. just make sure you can fit a finger around the bag at all levels. you may also need to notch for your tie rods if you have big wheels and want to lay. just take your time and test fit it before driving hope that helps man. good luck

be sure you don't cut any straight edges or it will crack, it should look like a big arc when it's all cut out and ground down

emphesis on the straight edges. avoid them. they are a severe weak point. keep it curvy. post some pics when you get some work done.

what about the cups??

I just used cups from SD, but I didn't use the 2600lb bags. They should work still, you just may have to tap new holes in them for the bolts. Call up SD and ask what size you'd need, I'm sure they'll help you out. You're going to have to cut a lot more out for them too
