I'm guessing you want to use a S-10 front clip on your dakota so you want to know what the track width is? Is that a fullsize chevy grill in your rendering?

i am considering running the S-10 front clip if the width isnt to far off. ive owned both the dakota and s-10 but never went as far measuring them. i know my dakota seems to be alot roomier.

the blue rendering in my profile is a gmc phantom grill and bumper. the rest of the renderings are the dakota grill.

by the way your truck is Bad A**. Seen it at indy last year

I have a bd old body style S-10 in the shop now that is in for a hydro to bag swap. I have it up on jack stands so I can't get a layed out measurement but the width is around 51" to 51.5" from the center of each tire. The wheels are 20x8.5" Eagle Alloys.

thanks for the reply. im trying to remember what the measurment on the dakota is, i think its real close.

whats your opinion, is this swap worth all the work?

Dakotas are a pain, they have a wierd bolt pattern (6x4.5 if I remember correctly?) for wheels which makes it hard to find ones that tuck. They also get really nasty camber when laid out. I think its worth it, it would make your life alot easier.
