1 piece vs 8 piece notch

Are the 2x4 notches as strong as a 8 piece notch? It seems like the 2x4 notch could break at the angled points where its butt- welded together when the 8 piece notch has more welded points where its welded to the frame. Opinions...

I wouldn't really want a one piece notch, the others you can cut to fit exactly how you want, as far as strength, I really don't know

I've had a 1 piece devious customs notch on my truck for 4 years now. No problems.

They look gawd aweful IMO and the 2x3 matches up near perfect to most frames i've notched.

You can make em whatever shape you want and weld them MORE solidly to the frame than the 8 piece.

I suppose an 8 piece COULD be EASIER to install, but not for me

a box tubing notch can be installed alot quicker than an 8 piece, and looks alot better.....

yeah i originally had a gravity werx 1 piece notch before i built my backhalf. it went in so much quicker and easier than my buddies 8 piece notch
