Las Vegas events?

Hey guys,

I'm heading in a big road trip with a friend of mine in 2 weeks. We're leaving Montreal sunday morning(22nd of july). We'll pass by Denver, Co and heading to Salt Lake City, Ut. We wanna go to the bonneville salt flats (even tho there are no races planned). But I really wanna see the place. Then we're going to Las Vegas. My guess is we would be in Las Vegas around the 26-27 of july for 2-3 days.

I was wondering if there was a show around LV that weekend. Or if there is a special event that we can't miss. Also, what are the place we really have to go and see in town. What's THE bar to go...

Then after we're leaving to the Grand Canyon for an other 2-3 days.

If you can give me some info that'd be nice!

Well as far as I know there is the extreme auto show on the 14th of july.
