a few years ago there was a bodied ranger on the cover of MT that had huge metal spikes for hood pins anybody know how he did it? I found some that are 2" long but didnt know if anybody knew where to get longer ones... Ive got a harwood full lift off hood on my full size thinkin about doin somethin similar...appreciate it guys

I think those were one off. But you can try looking at motorcycle parts dealers, I know they make crazy bar ends and stuff like that.

I made mine.

spun some aluminum on a lathe, drilled and tapped it, and frenched in a pocket for it into my hood.

and im doin it again on my current project!

I found some spikes at Hot Topic (that goth store). They had I think 2inch ones. I bought some smaller ones for my helmet.

I dont know if they would work for a truck because you had a screw that went into the spike. And the screws arent that long.

ya I saw the ones at hot topic I thought about using if I could find a longer screw that was the right thread on it... I dont have access to a lathe so I guess thats my only option haha.. thanks guys

I guess findin longer screws might work. With my helmet, since I didnt wanna screw through it, I just super glued em on lol
