Has anyone here done it? What all did it take to do it, engine, tranny, wiring harness, etc? About how much did it cost?

You need to run a computer for the transmission if your going to stay with the 4L60. I happen to have one for sale in the classified section. They normally run 1100-1300.00

i did this on mine..used a hei dist and had to leave my comp in to shit the tranny,..but it took alot of work to rig up that sensor that shifts the tranny to a carb. But it was fairly simple and easy over all. My nissan has a late model 5.7 with a carb on it also

If I decde to do it, I am thinking of swapin trannies also. I don't want anything under the hood. Some people think that I am stupid for doing it cuz I have a whipple charger on it, but those people can kiss my ass cuz it is my truck. Just wanted to get that out in the open incase someone was gonna talk shit about it.

I been thinking about doing the same thing to my car. I'd probably just go to a turbo 350 transmission and call it good. Would be loosing the overdrive but that wouldn't concern me.

It's the same thing I am looking at doing. I think the 700R4 has to have a computer to run it does it not?
