Sectioned Gas Tank??

The gas tank on my neon hits the ground when i lay out, my question is...........how much of a bitch is it to section the gas tank??

it is pretty risky, people have boiled tanks and let them sit for days and still have them blow up on em when they went to weld them.

On a side note it has and can be done. It is all on the size of the set you have between your legs.

Is a fuel cell not an option? I'd spend a little extra and buy a cell or have one made. But I like my life. Sparks & fumes = no bueno

i don't really have room in my trunk for a cell, this was just an idea i had & was curious to know more about it

Contact B&C in Pasadena. I am sure they can walk you through it. They section 2"s out of mine and they also did my boys Astrovan

i might just let them do it since they've done it before. Knowing my luck i'ld fuck up somewhere. i think i'll give kevin & the guys a call tomorrow & see whats up

neon tanks are plastic unless it was the stripped down model ive been told you can use one off of a 94-99 neon but you would need to post up on the neon forums to see thats were i herd it a few years back
