catalytic converter

so i finished my truck yesterday me and a buddy started it and decided to drag just a lil well at about 30 mph it starts studering like its not getting fuel or passing the exhaust well so i went and bought plugs wires and changed them and just reved on it alil after i let out of the gas it wants do die im thinking its the converter its on a 90 s10 if that help please any sugestions would help befor i spen 100 bucks on something i dont need

just take the cat off and hollow it out. if it runs fine after that u know thats ur problem. hell if it runs fine after that screw replacin it haha
