Alright i know when you wire LEDs you need a TAC unit- which is basicly just a resistor to reduce the 12v source...
so my ??? is where can i get a TAC unit??? FBI has them but there like 65 dollars- i was just wondering if there was somewhere else cheaper and faster than FBI..

when we did my LED's, we wired them diretly into the stock taillight wiring under the truck. No boxes or resistors were needed on mine.

Hi-Tech told me I need a converter box too. I hooked it up and nothing worked right. Just figred the box was bad. If we're talking about the same thing, then what you need is a 5 to 4 wire converter. You can get them at any autoparts store that sells trailer lights / wiring. I paid like $60 for the box from hi-tech. When that didnt work, I figured the box was bad. Before I bought another, someone pointed out to me that you can get the same thing for like $15 from any autoparts store.
