i have had both i like both. with the oasis you better be ready to upgrade the charging system. it takes alot of juice. i am running a 14 volt set up with an upgraded alternator. engine driven just bolt it up and go. just hope the truck starts when you need air. that is the only draw back to edc.

Easy solution to the tough engine start thing, just run a switch/relay combo on the dash to interrupt the compressor power as well as your pressure switch/relay at the tank. I have an engine driven too and yeah, with the compressor engaged it's a tough turn over for the engine.

EDC is the way to go... with an oasis the cost of the actual compressor let alone upgrading the charging system is going to really pricey. you can pick up a Edc Pump from the junk yard for under $40 check out minitruckinweb.com and under the forums there is info about my truck which we did and EDC with Keeping all Factory A/C and power steering there shopuld also be a tech article up there soon as well if your interested
