real leather sews better and is is easily manipulated. But if you are really picky (not talking crap) check out your local upholstery shop because colors and hides are different. Hides are natural and have different characturistics ( hope thats spelled right)so hides may not look or feel the same nor be the same the color due to tannery runs, just like painting the same color on two differnt cars. hope that helps. i ( my self would not by leather online with out being able to see it personally)
