Disadvantages to Acrylic Back Windows

I was considering the idea of an acrylic back window but before i go thru with it, i was wonderin what some down sides to havin one are. Thanks.

scratch easily

daily driver...... dont do it

it will break, and could impale you like untempered glass..... lexan is what the rear windows are made of that you see companies offering, it will scratch easily, but nearly impossible to break! throw a brick at it, run it over with a car, bend it in a 180, etc etc....

lexan will scratch bad. you will see swirl marks in it. pieces of crap

im assuming when you said acrylic you meant regular acrylic plastic and not lexan btw.....

well like i was checkin out this website that engraves designs in acrylic and then uses LEDS to light it up. i had the idea doin my club logo with it but juss wanted to see what could go wrong with it before i by somethin like that. lol

had no problems with mine and its a daily driver

you can always throw the piece of acrylic over your window... like the acrylic on the inside of your truck\window...
