Hydroboost swap?

Anyone ever swapped a hydroboost from a astro van into their truck?

I was talking to a friend last nite and he said it won't work with a mazda power steering pump as it doesn't make enuff pressure. Anyone got any insight into this?

Hes probably right, I called hydroboost just the otehr day to see if they could build something for my Titan and they said the imports dont have a high enough flow rate. They said imports usually only have like a 1.5 and you need atleast 2.5 to run hydroboost. Now what those numbers stand for I have no idea.

I auctally just put one in my dakota and upgraded my pump after talking to a few people about them being weak. I used an s10 master cylinder on mine.

i think they're overrated anyway. i have it on my dually & i think it's just a bit too touchy at very low speeds such as from a dead stop & pulling forward just a few inches & stopping again (red lights). if you really wanted them though, my PS pump isn't all that big...just go to a yard & get one off a chevy dually
