I know many of the people on here do not agree with bolt on kits, this is unfortunatly the only way that i will be bagging a truck in the near future as i am still in highschool. my question is though once i get rid of my extreme i plan on buying a 01-04 b3000 not looking to lay it on the ground but get it as low as possible and i was wondering which is the best 4 link kit out there for this sort of project somthing that will be able to adjust quikly aswell. thanks

I would say kp they make a nice ranger setup that should be the same for your truck.

Talk to steve at CanDo...I know he's blazin out the bolt on 4 link kits...

Also try KP Components, i know they got down a good setup too...

Although if your spending the money for a 4 link and bags, why would you not want to lay it on the ground?

Or by that do you just mean not bodydrop it?

Wait, do you know what a bodydrop is?

Also, in case you don't know, the ranger and mazda frames are the same from 98+ so suspension is swapable. And no, thats not really a word, thanks.

The only thing you would need to weld is the notch-actually you could probably find a bolt on notch, but no guarantees.

And more than likely you could find SOMEONE in your area to help you out with welding a notch in...i would definitely recommend that over a bolt in notch.

And i'm pretty sure you can get 100% bolt in front setups for the a arm'd frames...Just cups, pretty simple

Hope that helps a little

Actually, the mazda and ranger have the same frame from 94+ up. 93 was the last year for the good mazda's.........I keeed.

Any suspension part made for a ranger 94-97, and 98 and up will wotk with the matching year range mazda......minus the 93's of course.

I apreciat the advice, i do know what a body drop is. I was meaning that im one of those silly people who just doesent understand that big rims dont make a vehicle. so in the end i dont plan on cutting wheel wells therefor the frame will not be as close to the ground as it could be. Also another reason for going with the bolt on is it is hard to find mini inspired enthusiests in my area (Victoria British Columbia Canada) as unfortunatly i basicly only have internet based mini experience and what iv seen at sema. lol

That was really confusing

You DONT understand that big wheels DONT make a vehicle?? Soooo, that means you think big wheels DO make a vehicle...

So why would that make you NOT have to cut wheel wells?

Hmmm, so let me get this straight; you want to 4 link, and bag your mazda, and not have even the frame sit on the ground?

...maybe i'm missing something...

Around here our frames sit on the ground BEFORE we even get around to baggin them...thats if we have a full tank of gas

haha

Oh duh, haha

I guess i was too focused on the a arm thing!

it could be wrong and it probabaly is but what i think 4 link is is adjustable bags in all four corners so all i want is independant bags in all four corners but i dont want to cut the wheel wells, basicly have air bag suspension with as little modification as possible.

Speaking from experience save yourself money and slam it the first time because once you own a bagged vehicle you will be HOOKED! You will want it to lay flat on the rail. and there are lots of cool people on here in the BC area.

Well at least you know your probably wrong instead of acting like you know what your talking about, props for that.

But yeah you are wrong.

A 4 link is simply a term used when referring to 4 bars that hold a solid axle in place and provide a given range of free travel; setup in all defferent variations and used in TONS of different applications-from rock crawling to drag racing. The bars pivot on each end...

a 4 link would replace your leaf springs but would not directly replace them; a 4 link provides no suspension(it does not suspend the vehicle's frame from the axle)

The solid blue bars below are the Camaro's 4 link bars-running from the top and bottom of the axle and to 4 mounting points on the frame.

I guess i still dont understand why you want to air bag your truck without it being able to go very low...what size wheel/tire combo do you plan on running?

It would be cheaper to just lower it, and you could get it nearly just as low...besides when you park and air it down onto your axle/frame and front fenderwells...

Just give me more info on what your whole intention of bagging it is...??
