Wiring LED brake lights

I am trying to wire up my LED tail, brake and LED lights. With the kit I got a solid state flasher to replace my bi-metal flasher with. The only problem I am having is that my brake lights comon and work if I only press the brake pedal a little way in. If I press the pedal all the way, they go out again. Then flash when I release teh pedal. It is like there is a zone where they work and oce they are past that, they go back out. Any help is appreciated,
