I am going to purchase some 1/2 in hydraulic line because i am going to run nitrogen but i want to completely re-do my routing...where do you guys suggest I put valves, do i need to put in a small tank for extra volume....are there any diagrams on here that would show me exactly what i need (basic is ok...just don't like airing up front then back and losing half of front height...) do i mount the valves on the small tank after the nitrogen tank? any help would be appreciated......I am going to be doing two trucks at once and need to figure out where i am going to mount valves before i measure for the lines and everything...thanksthe two trucks are my ram and a 95 chevy crewcab dually...

i did'nt know you had to use hydro line with nitrogen, a couple of my buddies ran nitro and just used the plastic DOT airline. As far as the small tank, do you have any compressors? Or are you going to do nitrogen only? I would at least put a comp and tank in in case of emergency, you don't want to run out of nitro in the mickey d's parking lot, lol. if you do that, i know you can mount the valves on the tank. my valves are mounted about halfway between the tank and the bags, but i've heard that was better. My front valves are on the fram under the door, back valves are on my notch bridge. I don't know if this helped, if it did, great, if not, i apologize for my psychotic ramblings.

You dont HAVE to run hard line if you are running nitrogen, unless you are running insane pressure.. and if you are, then make sure your bags and valves and fittings are all rated for it..

Some people don't run tanks, but I would reccomend it if you are a big switch hitter.. Just get you a 5 or 7 gal tank to incorporate into your system between your nitrogen tank and valves..

Then what I would do, is if you dont want to have a compressor for a backup.. Then you could put a tire valve thing on the tank and carry a tire pump from walmart that you can plug into the cigaret lighter to air up your tank.. If you get stranded and out of nitrogen you could use that pump to give you enough air to limp you home..

true, dusty, that is a very good idea. i have a schrader valve on my frame so i can fill it up at a gas station or something if for some reason both comps fail.

I use to run nitrogen and had it hooked up to a five gallon tank. The problem I had with it was if I had a leak, all the nitrogen would leak out of the holding tank, and when I turned the nitrogen back on after the truck sat(overnight) the nitrogen would fill the tank back up and I wasted money. I have my valves in my bed. There is one inlet with a push to connect. If I ever want to run nitrogen instead of my comps, I unhook one line and run the one from the nitrogen bottle. having the valves in the bed isn't the cleanest set up, and I know that. They're there in case I have a problem with though. God forbid you ever have a problem with your front valves Jumbo, but if you do, it may be difficult for you to get to them. Sorry for the book.

that's why i put them on the frame, so i could get to them if the truck is stuck laid out. My dime's not bodydropped yet, so i have about 3" to get my big fat bear claws up to the valves if i need to. i've had no need yet (knock on wood), and hopefully won't have to.

if my yota has an issue im fucked, it will suck so i hope it never happens

I RUN 1 5GAL AIR TANK, WITH AN INLET FROM A NITROGEN BOTTLE, OUT TO THE VALVES, IF THE NITROGEN TANK IS EMPTY LETTING THE TANK DROP BELOW A CERTAIN PSI THEN MY VI AIR KICKS ON THROUGH THE PRESSURE SWITCH AND I RUN THE COMPRESSOR UNTIL I GET MORE NITROGEN. LOVE IT. AND I RUN 1/2 DOT LINE, NO NEED FOR HYDRO BUT IT WOULD BE LEGIT AS HELL WITH IT.
