my buddy does, he just used a tiny air cylinder to pop the latch, then drilled a tiny hole in the airline, so when he hit the button the latch would pop then the air would drain out letting the cylinder back down. I don't have any pics of it, though. sorry

i think he means pushing them open???? would be a cool idea but you would have to make sure to control how fast it opens

Yeah i was kinda thinking of both actually. My doors are shaved and it's getting old carrying around a slimjim...lol! I was also considering doing some type of magnet closure, kind of like on a cabinet... just a stronger magnet. The only down fall would be the fact that if anyone knew it they could just hope right in my truck. Later!

if you use magnetic locks, with a 12v supply to the magnet it will make the door virtually impossible to open when charged. but the down side to that is that your battery would be more suseptable to dying. i would just use electric pop locks or power lock actuators and wire it in to an alarm to pop your doors.

i'd be nervous about the airline eventually blowing that has to go thru the jam into the door... seems like a lot of movement where it would cause issues...

you can use electric rams to open them, like hydraulic ones, but electric and just wire them to work with a door popper kit
