I was wondering the same thing?

I really am not sure what happened. I think what it boils down to is that the server couldn't handle the forum and the traffic. I came home from work one day and it was all gone. Yahoo, the server company told me it was all lost for unknown reasons. That is why I am using a whole new style of forum too.
