rear crew cab set up

My buddy has an 04 we're about to bag in the back. Ive been told the filler neck in the rear tank can get in the way and the hangers need to be moved forward when running bags on the bars and side of frame? Anything else. Is this info correct. Id like to know what is needed before we pull it apart. Thanks for any help.
