building control arms

What type of tubing should I use to build my upper and lower arms for my 83 PUP.

I guess what I am saying is do I have to use DOM or not and what size..

1 1/4" od, 1/4" wall DOM tube is what i used for my uppers

I generally use 1" DOM 3/16" wall. Its beefy stuff.

1" DOM is good to use too.

1.25 lower, 1.0 uppers, unless u do shocks on the upper control arms, then 1.25 for uppers.

.25 wall, u can go smaller, but on control arms its better to get something a bit heavier duty due to the stresses us minitruckers put it through.
