notching shock mount

i noticed today that my upper control arms are hittin the shock mount. can you notch the shock mount and still keep it strong?

how much would have to be notched? why not just move the shock mount? Don't believe its a good idea to weaken a shock mount, due to the pressure put on them.

yeah thats what im worried about. i was thinkin about raising the shock mounts anyways, so that a stock shock wouldnt bottom out. ill just have to start plannin somethin out

my shock mount is gone on my 84, I straight cut the bish out. Though I have yet to relocate the shocks I dont see how it was possible to get the bags in between the spindle and the frame with the factory center mounted shock in place.
