^^^ werd, I'm on my 3rd one now, just got it the other day, got plenty more in the works, and still trying to finish one. T all my guys that have'em, me and a friend of mine got into an arguement on whether or not to tip the artist, I myself have a certain guy I go to and only him, I usually tip about 20 on top of what he charges, my buddy says he doesn't tip at all, what do you do?

you should always tip. they only make a % of what you pay them... and the shop makes the rest. so like a new tattoo guy makes like 35% a established one might make 45% ... so tiping is a good thing.

you have two small tattoo's... i would esitmate to be about 1.5 hours worth of work. Sit in a chair for 8 hours straight, and see how you feel. not saying they hurt, just saying your ass won't be falling a sleep.

You always need to tip them, out of respect. Especially if you are going to the same guy or gal more then once. Why would you not tip????

I almost fell asleep during my shoulder cap (4 1/4 hours) and also when he was doing the inside of my arm. So I can see how he says he can about fall asleep. ALWAYS tip your artist.

I'm with Garrick, my biggest one took about 4 hours also, finally got to where I couldn't feel it anymore and was tired as hell. And my friend doesn't have many tats, so I don't think he quite knows the procedure, but didn't think it was something he was supposed to do as in a respect way, but I think he'll come around. Garrick did you get my IM?

Well, my leg was my first and in my mind I was thinking it would hurt like a MOFO, but in the long run it was something annoying but not too bad...I think I would have been able to sleep if I wasn't too much excited to get some ink. As all of you, ink is addicting!! I was sitting on the chair for the first one and I was thinking about what could be the next!!! I didn't tip my tat guy since he owns the place with his g/f

fuck that. the FTW on the inside of my arm took about 6.5 hours. I don't see myself being able to sleep. It sucked. i reinterate the slowness of my tattoo guy. also by tipping them you're more likely to get a "hook up" next time, because the tip goes to their pocket where as the cost might not, so they can knock down the cost, to get a lil bit more tip ya know?

You're right Jey, I got slid a little extra color the other day, plus he didn't charge me to draw it up either. I haven't quite got the balls up to go to the inside of my arm yet, the ones I got now go into there a little ways and it got pretty tender, but I'm workin on a half sleeve, so i'm goin to have to one day

Well, here's two of mine. small, yes, I know. Not minitruckin' related. And definately not as artistic as your guy's. But hey, to each their own.
That's my first one.
This is my second one. got it in Hawaii. For my grandpa and grandma that passed away last February.
