The pain basically all depends on you and what you can take. If you go in there hella nervous and scared, it's gonna hurt like hell cuz it's on your mind. My opinion is it stings. kinda like gettin stung by a bee over and over and over. Also, depends on where you're getting it. Me, personally, my leg was the one that hurt the worst. It was painful, but tolerable. Wasn't like it was killing me or anything. Be sure and get what you want, also I think get it in a place you can hide it if needed, for job wise. And be prepared to get many, many more. because it is addictive. I didn't think it would be, til I got my first one. Now I dont wanna stop.

To me Tat's don't hurt... there where a few area's that where irritating but thats about it. Where it starts to get bothersome is when they leave an area they just pounded color in and then come back to it an hour or so later.

Its more of a shock than a pain. To me, there's no greater feeling. I love it.

it's like getting sunburnt & then someone decides to scratch on it for a couple hours, all the discomfort is worth it when you see the finished product though

Yeah I know...I have that idea in mind for like 5 years now...then I drew it and came across that arm...honestly I wanted it on the arm when I first thought about it...but I'm an accountant so I can't have my arms tattoed... I didn't want to copy anyone. When I saw that pic I was a bit confused...but we're not the only 2 with flames on arm/legs... For those that may be interested I'll have colors done...but not before june. I sat 3h on the chair for the lining...and I have 2 3h sessions to go for the colors. Peace

Ive got a sleeve, tattoos are awesome. they don't hurt too much. It's kinda like "insta sunburn" is how i would discribe, and like garrik said, what hurts, is when you have an area shaded, then they go back an hour later, and work on it again. I think all together i've got about 40 hours in the chair, but the guy who does my tattoo's is kinda slow. I just had the rest of the background fill done last saturday on my left arm, now, it's time to map out the plans on my other arm. Then, i'll have to figure out what else to get done...

For those who don't have any yet, just to give you an idea how addicting they are, I got my first one a few months ago, second one last week, hopefully getting another this weekend, and we're already putting together ideas for full sleeves.
