15	7/8/2009 9:12:00 AM	matchead88	[General Discussions]-[Audio/Video]-wiring a Line Out Converter ok. another thing. while i was doing some research, i found a post where it states that the closer you splice to the adapter to the speaker the better it is for the sound quality. can anyone back up that comment? i have a extended cab and it looks like a pain to just get to the speaker in the rear so i was planning on splicing into the wire right after the stereo harness.

17	7/7/2009 5:47:00 PM	matchead88	[General Discussions]-[Audio/Video]-wiring a Line Out Converter ive been doing some research on this. i have a 2007 nbs silverado non bosche, onstar and steering wheel controllers. i want to retain the stock H.U. my main question is, do i completely need to dsiconect the rear speaker wires from the speakers and connect them to the L.O.C or can i just keep the wires as they are and splice a wire off of the existing speaker wire and on to the adapter? im wanting to run 2-10" subs off of one single amp. im not wanting to run an amp for the stock speakers. any help? pictures if possible.

20	5/25/2009 10:31:00 PM	matchead88	[Trucks]-[Nissan Trucks]-finally coming together kind of off topic, but what would you guys suggest as far as a 2nd battery is concerned. i have a red top optima in there now, but im wanting to put a 2nd one in for the compressor (AZ) and for my little system i have for it (about 600 watts) would you guys reccomend a battery isolator? a higher amperage amp? if so how many amps would be good?

22	5/25/2009 8:38:00 PM	matchead88	[Trucks]-[Nissan Trucks]-finally coming together Edited: 5/25/2009 8:38:17 PM by matchead88 Its definately the best looking hardbody out there. but to me it is. finally im starting to fix my stupid mistakes from when i was younger and its starting to take shape again. finally found a bed in almost perfect condition just with 2 small dents, one on each side, for 100 bucks with the tails! just got in cutin it up, smoking the tailligts, shaving the antenna hole, got a LED license plate mounted on the bed (which i love how it looks) and installing a billet switch control panel for the compressor and other goodies. i am so happy its finally starting to be street worthy. let me know what you think. like i said, it is nowhere close to being done, so it kinda looks like crap.

55	11/19/2008 10:12:00 PM	matchead88	[Trucks]-[Chevy/GMC Trucks]-s10 starting I have a 1999 s10 thats my daily driver with the 2.2L manual 5 speed. last saturday i turned it on to go to work after running for about 2 seconds it died. so i tried turning it on again and i did not have any power AT ALL no stereo no lights no abs light no service engine light nothing. so i get it jumped and it starts right away. no problems until today it does it again and i could not get it started, but i didnt jump start it so i just drove my other truck to work. so i dont have any days off so im wanting advise of where to start checking so i dont go round and round because i dont have too much free time to be messing with it. any ideas?

70	10/10/2007 9:07:00 PM	matchead88	[Trucks]-[Chevy/GMC Trucks]-What The (insert eff word)?! well, no expert here BUT my buddy was having the same problem, except for his was on his honda. turns out that one of the cables wasnt hooked to the transmission like it should of been, i believe one coming from the battery could of been his computer. his also shifted hard but wouldnt go anywhere. check any wires that could be coming from the tranny.

AIM has them for $69 which is the cheapest i've found them but i've heard a lot of bad stories from AIM so im wanting to avoid that route if possible. Or if anyone has a pair just laying around let me know, i dont mind if they're slightly used. this is just temporaraly until i get the truck bagged. thanks for the help guys.

It all started when me and my buddie swapped the the timing chain on it. Whenever its standing i will rev it up and when it hits around 3-4000 rpm it will kind of choke it will also loose some power whenever i accelerate up hills but whenever it ease on the accelerator it will take off. I already changed the following thinking it was it. Spark plugs wireset cap and rotor fuel filter air filter damaged vaccum lines pcv valve Now, i found the exhaust to have a crack where it hooks up to the exhaust manifold. i really doubt that will cause to run shitty. Sorry but its kinda hard to explain in detail exactly what its doing. Any help?

And yes, the cat can cause your check engine light to come on. It'll probably pull a code like "auxilary control emissions" or "manufacture control" Wat you can do is pull into wherever you're getting your light checked like Autozone or something like that, but dont shut the car off, the key needs to be on anyways for the code reader to actually read the code. Hope this helps.

I also would like to keep the same bolt holes/pattern as the airlifts so that i wont have to swap out my bag brackets. I've got 2500's in the front and 2600's in the rear both single port. It sould be where the upper radiator hose connects into a neck, thats if its the 2.2L engine, lower radiator hose if its the 2.6L engine. That neck is then bolted down basically to the engine. Go to your local autoparts store and pick up the 195 degree thermostat which is the factory temp, and the gasket. That should do the trick. If it doesnt try draining out your antifreeze and filling it up with new one. Your third choice would probably be your temo. switch. Hope this helps you out.

The street that i live on is a closed street so the way you come in is the way you're getting out, it seems like all of the neighbors that live accross the street from me have something against me but the one that are on the same side as me dont have any complaints about me. So everytime im outside cleaning up my truck i like to have the music on, and please keep in mind that this is at 5 pr 6 in the evening. I have my music on, dont even have the subs turned on and the neighbor that is right accross the street from me ALWAYS fuckin ends up calling the cops. Another thing, i dont even have the music loud enough for them to even hear it clearly. They always fuckin call the cops on me. But everytime their little friends or realitives come over they always have music pumping and there's like 50 bikers blocking my entrance and reving up their engines, but nobody calls the cops on them. Another neighbor is always on my ass because i come home at 10 p.m after work and air out my truck, seriously how the fuck does that hurt them in any way? i do pancake down, so its not like i do one bag at a time just to piss them off. And my other neighbor is a always threatening me because i'm always "speeding". Is doing 15mph 20 tops speeding? So today right after i got home i saw that my neighbors were doing some fireworks outside of they're house, so i figure hey what the hell looks like some fun, so me and a buddy go pick some up at our local fireworks stand. Well we get home and we start lighting them up, but by this time my neighbors had run out of fireworks. So like 6 minutes into our fun w/ fireworks, the cops show up and say they had some complaints on 2 teenagers blowing up fireworks and disturbing the neighborhood. What The Fuck?!?!?!? So he finally leaves and i look over to my neighbors whom i suspect made the call and sure enough two guys are peeking outy the window. If this keeps up im gonna fuckin do something . Sorry for the book but i just felt like i had to vent.

I have the stock Z24 engine in my 89' nissan, the one w/ 8 spark plugs and when we installed the new timing chain kit in there the truck ran great for a while. But now the truck wont accelerate as strong as it should and it loses some speed when im going uphill. I have nothing done to the engine at all, no intake or anything. I also have a brand new air filter in there. But im still thinking that its a problem w/ the air induction. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm wanting to sell my HB or trade it for something else, but don't know how much to ask for it, can anyone help me out? Its in great condition, here's a complete list of what it has: Exterior: Shaved tailgate handle, aftermarket carbon fiber taillights, It has a new paint job, but the preparation on it sucked, so it needs some work on the exterior. Interior: Its all stock, the dash is in great condition, the only little detail is a rip on the drivers side seat, but i have a seat cover on it, so you can't really see it. Suspension: It has a complete F.B.S.S setup on it with 2500/2600 bags, 350 blitzfull compressor, 7 gallon tank, all 1/2 inch airline and valves, nitro drop shocks, triangulated 4-link, and a skull 10 switch switchbox. Motor: Z-24 a 4 cylinder 8 spark combination, the motor is rebuilt with about 90,000 miles on it. Runs great, only problem is it idles out sometimes, could be the fuel pump or it could just be its out of timing. It also has a new battery and alternator. Stereo: Pioneer head unit,6.5" kenwood speakers and some tweeters. Wheels: 15" pathies with pireli tires with about 80% thread left on them. Any input would be highly appreciated.

Check that all of your wires are hooked correctly, switchbox F-up, if its cold the valve might of frozen or your airline, i'm not an expert but try checking these things, if thats not it than it might be that you just need a new valve or something.
